International English Language Testing Systemлингв. тест «Айелтс» (букв «международная система проверки английского языка»)Система оценки знаний английского языка, используемая в некоторых англоязычных странах (Великобритания, Австpалия, Hовая Зеландия и др.). Является тестом для тех, кто собирается работать, иммигрировать, обучаться или проходить практику в англоговорящей среде, и позволяет определить уровень владения английским языком у людей, для которых английский не является родным. В обязательном порядке сдаётся всеми, кто планирует подавать документы на иммиграцию в Канаду, Австралию, Новую Зеландию, Великобританию, поступать на учёбу в канадские, австралийские, новозеландские, американские, британские или ирландские университеты. Количество учебных заведений в мире, признающих результаты экзамена IELTS, постоянно увеличивается.
